Nancy Goldberg and Diane Goldberg
Marcus are the owners and directors of Belvoir Terrace. The staff
consist of professional teachers, graduate students, as well as
artists-in-residence. All staff are selected for their teaching
experience, interest in working with young people, and their commitment
to the Belvoir community. Many staff have been at Belvoir from five
to twenty years.
Nancy Goldberg received her Bachelors from Bryn Mawr College and
her Masters from Harvard University. Nancy taught English in the
Newton, Massachusetts, Public School System. In the 1980's,
she was the Manager for the Children's Dance Program at Steps
Studio in New York City. Nancy has been at Belvoir Terrace since
1954.
Diane Goldberg Marcus attended Belvoir Terrace from the youngest
camper group to the oldest camper group. She received her Bachelors
from Oberlin College, her Masters from The Juilliard School, and
her doctorate from the City University of New York. Diane has been
a counselor, Chairperson, and Assistant Director, and has been a
Director for over fifteen years. Diane is married to Michael Marcus,
owner/director of Camp Greylock, a boys camp located in Becket,
Massachusetts, founded in 1916.
