Fourteen professional teacher/directors teach classes in acting techniques, musical theater, improvisation, directing, Shakespeare, and all aspects of technical theater. Belvoir's theater program is designed for girls with a serious interest in acting and it also works well for those with less prior experience.

Theater majors elect daily classes in acting, Shakespeare, and musical theater, plus theater electives in writing, directing, costuming, and technical theater. They often compliment their training with private voice lessons and several dance classes.

All campers who elect theater participate in one or more of the popular performances for the entire camp group. More than thirty quality shows were performed last season in the five fully equipped Belvoir theaters.

Belvoir's outstanding theater program offers a combination of excellent teaching, small classes, exciting direction, and quality performance experiences which enhance skill, encourage cooperative work, and nurture self confidence. Performing arts are exciting at Belvoir Terrace.
